Our​ ​handmade​ ​recycled​ ​leather​ ​bookmarks​ ​are​ ​a​ ​favorite​ ​for​ ​good​ ​reason.​ ​Uniquely​ ​hand​ ​carved,​ ​the​ ​leather​ ​leaf​ ​is​ ​riveted​ ​to​ ​soft​ ​and​ ​supple​ ​recycled​ ​leather​ ​that​ ​sits​ ​perfectly​ ​between​ ​the​ ​pages​ ​of​ ​your​ ​favorite​ ​book.​ ​Specifically​ ​designed​ ​not​ ​to​ ​slip​ ​out​ ​or​ ​leave​ ​unsightly​ ​bumps​ ​and​ ​bends​ ​like​ ​thicker​ ​leather​ ​bookmarks.

The​ ​leaf​ ​itself​ ​is​ ​made​ ​with​ ​vegetable​ ​tanned​ ​leather​ ​while​ ​the​ ​lace​ ​will​ ​be​ ​a​ ​lighter​ ​weight​ ​upholstery​ ​or​ ​garment​ ​leather​ ​in​ ​shades​ ​of​ ​brown.​ ​The​ ​leather​ ​used​ ​will​ ​vary​ ​as​ ​we​ ​source​ ​it​ ​from​ ​factory​ ​remnants​ ​giving​ ​new​ ​life​ ​to​ ​these​ ​valuable​ ​textiles.

Hand​ ​dyed​ ​using​ ​water​ ​based​ ​dyes​ ​and​ ​sealed​ ​with​ ​a​ ​water​ ​resistant​ ​finish.​ ​As​ ​leather​ ​is​ ​a​ ​natural​ ​material​ ​and​ ​each​ ​hide​ ​takes​ ​dye​ ​differently,​ ​your​ ​bookmark​ ​may​ ​vary​ ​from​ ​the​ ​photos​ ​shown.
